Between 1861 and 1865, the Royal Academy of History of Spain published a selection of letters in seven volumes included in the collection “Memorial Histórico Español”. These are letters from Jesuit to Jesuit in Spain during the last half of the Thirty Years’ War, from 1634 to 1648.
This webpage has the aim explore the 191 letters sent in 1634 and 1635 as if it was a nowadays blog. Each letter has an individual map and it has been edited by updating the orthography and disused grammar in order to have a more fluid reading experience. Besides a glossary of the old-fashioned words has been preparated; to complete the survey, a guide through the biography of the notorious personages can be found.
